Hi

I was trying to run a game when this showed up in the konsole: "Fatal signal: Segmentation Fault (SDL Parachute Deployed)"

What does it mean and how to fix it?

It's exactly the same problem I got as the one the link describe. The problem is it's not NVN but Dominions 2 I get the error with. The Error didn't occured in mdk 10.0 but getting it in mdk 10.1

I'll try to copy all the file from the CD to the harddisc as they described in the link and see what's happening.

A segmentation fault occurs when a program tries to access some memory that isn't there. It usually occurs when a program tries to use a file that doesn't exist, so you must be missing something the game requires.

Since the error occurs in 10.1 but not 10.0, my guess is that some system specific files are missing, maybe packages that weren't installed this time. Are there any other games which get the same error?

Not what I know of. Falcon's Eye runs perfect also the oblicatory games that comes with kde runs without problems.

I did a clean install of mdk 10.1 (again again), the same error is still there but I manage to start dominions up....weird.
