Guest kortty
Hello I'm new to Linux and chose Mandrake pretty much by accident, but I think I came to right option. I think I somewhere saw a post or an article saying that when Mdk kernel patch-level x.y.z-P (or is it a 'revision'?) rises enough, it will be the same as rising the x.y.Z-p with some more generic kernels. Could someone say if this is true or if I've completely lost my bearings? I'm fighting to get wlan to work and I'm afraid I need to update kernel. I wouldn't want to end up in a situation where I'm loosing some nice Mdk-feature when going to newer generic kernel. thanks a million /kortty [moved from Installing Mandrake by spinynorman]
