capnkirby
Got 2.8 up and running, nothing too special, looks like a lot of bug fixes and basic updates to me. Still looks like Gnome and acts like Gnome which is cool by me!! Â Capn
bvc
2.6 is supposed to have a new mime system. I have already noticed that I can no longer rt-click and choose to open a folder with <insert_app>. I was just getting used to that For , oh say a .png the default app is now at the top of the rt-click menu. *ahem....why? may I ask. It opens with that if you just click the PNG!....silly, silly. I heard the new mime sys was a step backward. To soon for me to comment, but.....

bvc
watch out if you are going to use or update these. http://wwwra.informatik.uni-rostock.de/~wa.../gnome2.7/RPMS/ They are updated and made almost about anything I did not work, well, gnome started, but that's about it. Spent an hour reverting to ML-10.1-CE's gnome-2.6. Edited September 22, 2004 by bvc
