Hi,

I want to make a live cd , from my existing installation, I have read the F.A.Q.

When I launch mklivecd I get the follow error:

mklivecd, version 0.5.6, http://www.linuxminicd.org/mklivecd/

Copyright © 2002-2003, Jaco Greeff <jaco@linuxminicd.org>

* Creating temporary directories...

* Creating initrd structure...

* Copying initrd kernel modules...

ERROR: unable to find kernel module cloop.o

my kernel:

Linux main.lan 2.6.3-7mdk #1 Wed Mar 17 15:56:42 CET 2004 i686 unknown unknown GNU/Linux

Is it the kernel version?

(I have installed busybox, & cloop-utils :)

hi Echylo,

the mklivecd expert is online now :cheesy:

Ok, we are starting with the basics.

1.You need to go back to our FAQ section: How to make your own LiveCD.

Navigate to post #8: the update for Mandrake 10.0

You are using an outdated version of mklivecd. This won't work on 10.0.

The new version will use squashfs. (and not cloop) as default.

Download my package, that contains everything you need, the rpm and the add. programs from contrib /10.0

2. You won't be very happy with a 2.6.x kernel with the current mklivecd scripts. USB, scsi - still somewhat broken. I stopped with building LiveCD's because of these issues.

With a 2.4.x kernel you will have prob. more luck. - But you can try different kernels.

Wish you luck. And report back. With MDK 10.0 it is not that easy to get a working LiveCD, sigh.
