hmm

do you have a router? or a firewall who blocks the ports?

4662 TCP & 4672 UDP

Cause I think Amule gives you a low id & you need a high Idea for most servers & downloads.

Normally you should be able to connect to emule server no2 I think, don't know it sure & not advisable cause you still have low id

windows has nothing to do with linux :) so you're sure you don't have inside firewall that blocks the ports? not even your modem? aah can you post the server info log? cause I thought there was another sort of log, where you have more detailed information, don't know for sure...

aMule was working properly untill now. It is unusable. When I try to connect to a server, aMule manages to do that but suddenly disconnects after ("connection lost"). It just keeps doing it and it gets nowhere (connecting, connected, connection lost).

I dont want to seem as being rude but ... why dont you post this problem into amules forums??

Whenever i do have a problem with their program i post it over there and the devs have always been responsive and helpful, who better than them can help you out??

Actually eMule has something to do with aMule: they use the same ports. :D

No, I don't think there is a more detailed log ....

But about the firewll.............. I use Firestarter. Could that be the problem ? I clicked the stop button and restarted aMule but there was no difference. The only thing I can think of is disabling the service ...

I made some more tests with FireStarter ... it appears the firewall isn't the problem. Then I tried to connect manually to selected servers and it somehow worked ..... aMule still keeps doing that stupid thing when trying to connect to the most popular servers :(
