papaschtroumpf
I want to use both ICQ and IRC on my mdk 10.0 machine. What are the best/most comppatible/not resource hogs clients? I'd favor an "all-in-one" client but don't mind installing separate ones. I use KDE if it matters. Jet2k5
I use gaim. Seems good. I have Aim, yahoo, and MSN running under gaim. Kapete might be better. I dunno -Luis
papaschtroumpf
Cool, sounds like I might try Kopete first.
Urza9814
kopete sucks. gaim rules. X-Chat or Irssi for IRC. Gaim can do it...but it's not the same...

Guest tolne57
If it matters, I personally like Kopete. User friendly and works well for me, a noob. =) Edited August 31, 2004 by tolne57
TopDog
For IM Gaim or Kopete is the same for me... But I'm not getting IRC to work any good in Gaim, so I'm using Kopete for both IM and IRC...
Padma
For IM, I use Kopete. Works great! :D For IRC, my choice is KVirc. (I happen to like it better than gaim.)
