Install_CircleButtonBar_Sensor.bin: line 29: destination: command not found
Install_CircleButtonBar_Sensor.bin: line 32: args: command not found
Install_CircleButtonBar_Sensor.bin: line 34: syntax error near unexpected token 'if'
Install_CircleButtonBar_Sensor.bin: line 34: '        if (p == "--nomsg"): no_message = 1'

i tried running as a normal user, and as root. both resulted in the same thing. this is what i typed in to run it: sh Install_CircleButtonBar_Sensor.bin

i tried installing a different sensor, and it gave me the same error.

ok thanx. i was able to install it, but it wont start on me. i type in 'gdesklets CircleButtonBar', it says the file doesn't exist (plus the readme on this thing is blank, aside from a "Write Me" sign..). ive also tried "gdesklets CircleButtonBar.display" and "gdesklets start CircleButtonBar.display", "gdesklets start CircleButtonBar", and they all bring up an error saying the file does not exist. any advice? im using the urpmi'd version, which is .26 i think

ok so i tried it. i moved to the .gdesklets/Sensors/CircleButtonBar folder, and i typed in ./CircleButtonBar.display."command not found". i did start gdesklets, except that terminal was made unavailable after that, so i opened a new one.

When you extracted the tar, it would have created a folder. cd into that new folder. Once in that new folder, type:

gdesklets CircleButtonBar.display

You need to have gdesklets running before you type the above command. Also, I am not sure what the file is called, but the file you want to add will be the one that ends in '".display".

what exactly do i type in to get urpmi to update my current version of gdesklets to 0.30 or to download 0.30, because its saying "Everything already installed" when i type in urpmi gdesklets, and when i add a -0.30 to the end of it, it isnt found. thanx for the help!

Did you add cooker?

If so, do you already have version .30?

If not sure type from a console:

gdesklets -v

This will tell you the version.

If you didn't add cooker, then follow the faq's regarding urpmi. I'm pretty sure the latest version is available from cooker or plf which is another ftp source. If not, google gdesklets, go to the site and install from there.

ok, after updating URPMI sources and getting cooker, i was FINALLY (*sigh*) able to get gdesklets 0.30, although it still keeps on crashing on me when i try to load a sensor. ive tried "gdesklets open clock" (clock being a display i downloaded from URPMI), and "gdesklets shell"(to open graphical shell) all after "gdesklets start". heres a screenshot:
