axel_2078
Does anyone here use Mandrake online for updates, patches, etc? If so, is it worth the price? Edited August 24, 2004 by axel_2078
axel_2078
Doesn't anyone use it? How do you guys update your security stuff?
KopiX
i've tried to use it, but it always tells me i gotta register or i'm not authorized, even though i have a silver membership or something, maybe you have to buy a separate thing for mandrakeonline? i don't know much about it, from what i've experienced though its a pain in the ass with a crappy interface, so i stick to urpmi and cooker databases :)
Sarissi
Run Mandrake Update from Confiure your computer section. I have done this. No big deal.
scoopy
I believe most of us here turn that welcome screen off and delete those icons and then add the extra sources to urpm's database ourself. You can do this as Sarissi said or with CLI (command line) The main source would be your Install CD's, and then you may want to add another for the updates and another for contrib. Also poplular is PLF. The easiest way is to follow along here: http://urpmi.org/easyurpmi/index.php
