Guest dialect
I'd like to use xscreensaver, however, I need to disable the normal KDE screensaver first. I noticed that in version 9.1/2 of mandrake, there is an "enable screensaver" radio box. Unfortunately, this button does not exist in mandrake 10. Is there another way to disable this screensaver? The reason I ask is because I'd like to run xscreensaver. Thanks for the help
spiedra
There should be an option in kde control panel, under screensavers that should let you do it.
AussieJohn
What do you mean there is no radio box to disable ScreenSavers in Mandrake10 OE KDE ??? There is certainly is one in mine. Where are you looking ????. In mine I open KDE Control Centre ---> Look&Feel ---> ScreenSavers, and there it is ............"Start ScreenSavers Automatically". Just remove the x and you stop the kde ScreenSavers. It really is that simple, yes really truly. Or am I missing something here??? But I don't think so. Cheers. John.
