Guest jpeacock
I get this error: "Could not uncompress 2nd stage ramdisk. This is probably an hardware error while reading the data (this may be caused by a hardware failure or a Linux kernal bay)." OK I have read post about it being from bad burns. But I get the same error trying to load mandrake 10 on Virtual PC using the ISO file. I am a linux newbie. (MCSE)
Guest jpeacock
OK all 3 iso files failed my MD5sum (fsum.exe -c Mandrakelinux10.0-Official-Download.md5.asc) What exactly does this mean? Corrupt files from download process, or corrupt files on mirror server? Should I just download again?
Ixthusdan
It means bad files, usually as a result of the download process, but it could be the server. Choose a different server if you want, but you must download them again.
