removing hd icon on desktop

I've done almost a mirror image of this thread. I had a 40GB boot drive (WXP/MDK 10) then I added another 40GB. Formatted it FAT32 under Linux, works great in Linux/Windows, but a "Hard Disc" (it's a hard DISK if anything) icon has popped up on my desktop and I can't get it to go away. It's a direct link to the storage hard drive, but I don't need a link on my desktop. Can anyone help me remove it?

You could also put a script in ~/.kde/Autostart/ that removes it from the desktop automatically when you log in(assuming you are using KDE). The name of the icon should be stored in ~/Desktop so you could go:

#!/bin/bash
rm -f ~/Desktop/name_of_hd_icon

:D
