Guest pitarda
I have VMWARE installed. It works OK. When I insert BOOTABLE CD (either Win ME, WinNT,...) it just won't start setup!? It says that there is no bootable CD, floppy or hard disk detected !? Any idea? Thanks.
phazeman
When you start the VMWARE virtual machine, click with your mouse inside the screen immediate after the startup and press F2 to enter the "BIOS" of vmware. In there go to the boot options and select to boot from CDROM first. This should get you booting...
Guest pitarda
I did use vmware under Windows some time ago,.... so I am familiar with how things are supposed to go,.... but I can't get it work under Linux. I do have CD ROM instaled and I can see it in "options", but it won't boot!
tyme
can you view and access the CD from within Linux? that is, are you sure it's mounting properly?
Guest pitarda
It is working now :D Though I could see all files on CD ROM under Linux, I had to change the IDE settings for /dev/cdrom to get it being read on boot. Thanks!
