Havin_it
Hi, I just pulled a rather huge update, and RPMdrake has thrown up this change in /etc/inittab in the section 'Default runlevel': (old) 5 - X11 (new) 3 - full multiuser mode I have no clue! I'm tempted to stick with the old, but could that cause problems with a related bit of updated software? The RPM this relates to is initscripts-7.06-49.1.100mdk
tyme
5 will take you into the GUI (aka X) at boot (you'll get a graphical login screen) while 3 wile not start the GUI (aka X) at boot (you'll get a text login screen). It won't make any difference or cause any problems. I would stay with the old if you prefer a graphical login screen.
