If you create a spare user (or two) you can play about as much as you like with them and its only a few seconds to delete them... lots of settings are help in 'hidden' directories (you see them if you want though) so its a good idea to make a user called Games and one called test or even gnome_test and kde_test etc. This way you can do the craziest stuff and worse case you delete the test user and recreate one :D To create new users you can use the Mandrake Control Centre ...
