Downside is I have to rebuild all fc2 rpms from 3rd party stuff like mutilmedia and what not. yum is a lot faster and it appears they have revamped it in someway or another. I don't know if it is just gcc-3.4.1 or what else they are doing, cause I've run several gentoo box's with gcc-3.4.1 and they weren't this fast. edit: I just noticed as I was rebuilding firefox compiler settings are at: -Os -g -pipe -m32 -march=i686 -mtune=pentium4 keep in mind i rebuild w/ --target=i686 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
