Aliendrake
Hallo guys, How can i add an local file to media sottware media manager? I have an file in my home dirrectory where I download rpm from the internet. And I would like to install the rpm directly from that file. And I also want to put the mandrake cd-iso on the hard drive and use the software media manager to install it directly form the harddrive so i dont need to use cd ( cd deejee-ing ) every time when i install a new package. Thanks, Gregory Edited July 29, 2004 by Aliendrake
bvc
just put them in a directory and add the the directory with the Media Manager as local. Does that not work for you?
Aliendrake
What do I have to fill in the pathlist? And second; can I do that with iso-images allso? Or is that different setup?
bvc
say you mak a directory in /home/Aliendrake called RPMS. You would put as the path; /home/Aliendrake/RPMS I've never heard of rpmdrake using an .iso but you could cp the RPMS directory from the cd's and do the same as above. Aliendrake
Here are some tips how to mount iso files to be used as " an medium" to load rpms automatic via software medium center. But I wonder was if there is a simpler way via gui.
