Guest Cbrduck
I've installed wine-20040505-mdk1.i586.rpm and created a fake_windows which runs some progams ok, but not others. Now, since I have a 20gig hd with Win'98 installed and mounted, I thought I might have a better success rate by running off this instead. So I have run the setup to point to this and can run the few apps on it such as Notepad, mspaint, hyperterminal, etc. The problem is that while I can, for example, create a file in Wordpad and save it to this mounted drive, I cannot install any new apps to it as I get an error "Setup was unable to create the directory "C:\Program Files\xxxx". Error 5: Access denied. This as the entry for the drive in etc/fstab... /dev/hdb1 /mnt/hd vfat umask=000,user,conv=binary,suid,exec 0 0 Could there be a problem with this, or would it be some other rights issue ? Any advice/ideas much appreciated.
drjonesac2
I would like the answer to this as well. I cannot get ANYTHING to install on the wine partition.
