Guest Majesty
Well... the problem is I have 2 video cards in my system (i810 integrated into motherboard & NVidia RIVA TNT2 M64 in the PCI slot). In the BIOS I have i810 disabled and Riva declared as a default source for video. In the MS Windows this combination works just fine except that windows shows both of the cards in hardware manager, but as I said that's not a problem. The installation process of Mandrake works w/out problems. After the installation when the Summary screen comes up I see i810 as a source for video (maybe because this card is integrated). If I leave it as is then after reboot I get black screen and no other activity. I've tried to connect video cable to i810 connector but w/out any luck. If I change the source of video to NVidia RIVA TNT2 M64 in the Summary screen then after reboot a I get nothing but DOS like console screen with user input prompt and lots of error messages from which I figured out that X mode cannot start because of wrong video source or something like that (can't remember right now). If I remove NVidia card from my system all works fine because there are no conflicts between two cards. My question is: is there any chance i can get Mandrake work with my NVidia card and how? Thanks!
Pzatch
Make sure you turn off the integrated card in the bios and try again with the nvidia card. No need to reinstall mandrake.
