Hey there. I just recently installed Mandrake 10 (linux noob) and for whatever reason, when I load the Mandrakelinux Control Center (and whatever else requires a root password) I get multiple authorization icons showing in the taskbar. There's 3 of them showing right now.

I've installed the latest updates etc...

Anyone know the reason/cure for this?

Those keys were PAM. If someone else faces this sort of issue:

Go to Desktop Preferences>Advanced>Sessions>Current Session>Select pam-panel-something_or_other (I don't remember)>click Remove>click Apply and when you logout save your session, or in your favorite terminal run

gnome-session-save

You should get rid of the silly keys.

Yeah, it was wierd, there were like 6-7 pam panel entries in the session viewer.

Forgot to add that the Gnome splash screen that shows the items loading, froze on boot, it went away once I clicked on it.
