spinynorman Posted June 27, 2004 Report Share Posted June 27, 2004 I've got Mandrake 9.1, so the setup may be different, but if I go into Mandrake Control Centre - Hardware - Printerdrake and double click on the printer name, I get the options to modify the settings. I can select an option that includes 'driver' and then press 'Do it'. fiery Posted June 28, 2004 Author Report Share Posted June 28, 2004 Yes,thank you it looks like it used deskjet 510.I dont see deskjet 5150 in its list.Is that the correct one or should i try and download a 5150 driver?That would be a new experiance for me,thanks! Put this into your web browser. localhost:631/admin Login with username "root" and your root password. Then try removing the printer there, under Manage Printers, then delete printer. After removing it, follow these instructions here. http://hpinkjet.sourceforge.net/install.php#mandrake Should they fail.
