imwithstupid
If you are using kde I believe one of the addon packages comes with a bunch of screen savers and one is called multimedia or something. I believe you can set it up to do a slideshow.

Jet2k5
I don't know much about those slide shows, but if you want you can check the post about the matrix screensaver, it has the directions to install xscreensaver-gl which is a program that has a tons of screensavers, and If I'm correct it has a few slide shows on it. I'm currectly using that matrix one. And it's very cool because it looks as if someone was hacking into a computer or something and then the code start to move and stuff, very neat. -Luis
PeterPanic
Hi all! Well, meanwhile there are many (GL) screensavers that do slideshows, but only with those stupid mandriva penguin cooks, surfers and so on... How do I change the path to the images that are displayed by all those screensavers? Or simply: What IS the path? I could put links to my pics there of course... Thanks a lot. Panic EDIT: Found it! :-) It's in /usr/share/mdk/screensaver ... So, I copied some pics in and it looks a lot better :-D Edited June 9, 2006 by PeterPanic
AussieJohn
Open Kde Control Centre...............Look&Feel...........................Screensavers...........Banners&Pictures...........Slide Show. In there you can select folders of pictures of your choice and make a few other choices and it include effects. It really wasn't that hard to find and I have never used it. :D Cheers. John.
