Not_Public
my frame of reference- http://www.irfanview.com/ everything I've tried thus far all have some element that renders them largely useless (showimg, kview, digikam, etc..) basic functions I need would be batch resizing, easy flipping through images and rotating (and saving the rotated image) easy renaming, flexible thumbnail views, slideshow. furfurdemon666
Don't know if it has all the options you're looking for but it's very similar to Irfanview IMO and supports a ton of formats: XNView It's free and the Linux version works great. jdion81
I am with Not Public with the request but I would add red eye reduction. Lphoto works great for red eye. Gthumb works great at resizing (but does NOT do batch resize). ImageMagick does Batch but the resulting image looks like crap. I wish I could combine all the good parts and be done with it. I dont think that Gthumb does batch resixing. If it does I havent found it yet. I do like a lot of the other things Gtumb does though. I find myself using a few different programs to get what I want done. I guess thats the way it always is, or should be. A few specialized apps that do the job well instead of one do-it-all program that does nothing well.
