Guest DataGhost
I am using Mandrake 10 Community, I cannot install ut2k4 either... first of all, when i mount the ut2k4 dvd image using mount /path/to/image.iso /mnt/cdblaat2 -t iso9660 -o loop and i run the installer on it, it says checksum error... and everytime a different checksum i got a new linux-installer.sh from someone else [root@dataghost mnt]# md5sum linux-installer.sh cdblaat2/linux-installer.sh 8e96b989913397152fbf4ae3fd77a980 linux-installer.sh 8e96b989913397152fbf4ae3fd77a980 cdblaat2/linux-installer.sh which does not give ANY checksum errors at all... anyway when i then run the installation and install to /mnt/hda6/ut2004 (tried with 2 "different" iso images) it just stops after a while, no telling when UZ2: Failed to fully write [/mnt/hda6/ut2004//Sounds/IntroAnnouncers.uax]! ./setup.sh: line 262: 5458 Aborted "$setup" "$@" or any other random file... I have edited the partition type (it was still fat32 (stupid partition magic)) changed it to linux, and even rebuilt the reiserfs on it... no effect... i still can't install the game while it did work some time ago... does anyone know what could be wrong? im installing as root and the drive had 8 gigs of space, 100% free

Guest DataGhost
well i probably wasnt very clear with that post but it turned out that my homemade 2.6.6 was unstable ;) booting to a mdk kernel solved the problem anyway this should be nice for others with this prob
ShadowFoxLSU
Just a side note. MDK is the one distro that tends to hate games, at least for me
