mysticpain
I'm wanting to create a dual boot system on my laptop as I am most impressed with Mandrake 10... The problem I am having is that when I did the install I set the boot loader to be placed on the first sector of the root partition. I did this because the last time I had a dual boot with Red Hat It was a pain in the a** to get it off the MBR... Well, now I want to put the boot loader on the MBR for Mandrake... How do I do this? Put in the disk and use the rescue command? What options do I want to choose? Thanks for your help. [moved from Software by spinynorman]

Cannonfodder
I would just go with the default lilo setup. You can get rid of it easily enough by booting off of CD1 and uninstalling Lilo. Should restore the prior bootloader. You can also go to www.bootdisk.com and download a floppy boot disk to restore the Windows MRB if you need too.
