Guest moift
I'd post this in the KDE forum, but it's down. (The irony of which does not escape me) Anyway, I was using the menu editor and it crashed. Didn't have to reboot, but I soon noticed KDE had a number of new features ie, there are no entries under the menu except for the few you cannot remove like Find file, etc. Those entries that do exists do not work. KDE has no idea how to handle any format of file except executable. Further attempts to edit menu, etc, are ignored. So I'm thinking I have to reinstall it, but my noobness is preventing me from doing so. I urpmi'd a few things with KDE in the name and nothing helped. I now can't seem to open my web browser from the linux partition either, so I'm kind of at a loss. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Ojala. liquidzoo
We have an FAQ on that very subject here: http://www.mandrakeusers.org/index.php?showtopic=8481 Give that a try and see if it helps. For your browser, I had that problem too. Once I logged out and back in, though; the problem was solved.
Guest moift
Thanks a lot, I'll give it a shot. I should have checked that but I didn't figure it would be common enough to have its own FAQ. (!)
liquidzoo
Actually, it's a very common problem. I thought it had been sorted out with the release of 10.0, but I guess not. My best solution to this problem: Don't use Menudrake
ral
Don't use Menudrake This is good to know.
liquidzoo
The problem seems to occur after someone uses menudrake. It's been a problem for quite some time now, which is unfortunate.
