mtweidmann 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2004 I've got an AMD Athlon64 on a MSI Neo board, running MDK 10 RC1. My machine seems a lot faster than my mates P4 which has a similar spec. MDK for AMD64 is great, been using it since the first beta came out. The only real problem is that it can be a bit more difficult to build application sources for it. iainvt 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2004 I built my box, and tried to install rc1, constantly recieved errors while trying to install to 250g sata drive on promise. Just before final configuration it would shut itself down. I have reinstalled 10ce for now, do I have a bad copy downloaded. Is there a fix or is this because the cooker version is not fully supportive. Is there going to be a mdk 10 amd64 official download as there will be with mdk 10? Gowator 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2004 Where do I get AMD64 ? Its 110 Euros to buy which is a bit steep until I test it and make sure it works OK, otherwise I might just recompile from source ....
mtweidmann 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2004 You can get the ISO or packages off any of the Mandrake mirrors, like this one: ftp://ftp.sunsite.org.uk/package/mandrake...devel/iso/amd64
