marcus1060
I installed Mandrake 10.0 Official using the network bootdisk, and it worked fine with my 3Com 3CCFE574BT PC Card, but after Mandrake was installed, it could not find the card. And I can't setup networks, or go on the net. Please help.
Gowator
Open a console and as ROOT (see FAQ's if you cant do this) type lspci -v -v this should list all your PCI interfaces.... try and find the one for your PCMCIA and hopefully also the 3COM card ... Also you could try to cat /proc/pcmcia to see if its active /etc/init.d/pcmcia status should tell you if its running and if not /etc/init.d/pcmcia start should start the service. (I think thats what you mean PC card=PCMCIA card ? the names keep being changed :D) If it hangs .... darn it itll be more work.... let us know :D

marcus1060
lspci -v -v didn't work its said command not found. And /etc/init.d/pcmcia status showed it wasn't running so I started it then it said: cardmgr[2685]: no sockets found!
marcus1060
Ok so I reinstalled mdk in hope that it would work (it didn't) But I looked at the kernal messages as I did the network install. And it showed me this: the card according to it is: Megahertz 574B and I believe it is in IRQ
marcus1060
I figured it out! Ya go me! It was the help gotten here, and a little bit of help from other source that I adapted from Wireless. And then I just made some judgement calls. Not to bad for a n00b?
