SoulSe
I just got the Gimp-2.0 and am way impressed. I'm not a very good designer, but I love the changes to the interface and it looks really neat. So what are your favourite changes to the Gimp? Any tips for new features in 2? I think I might just be able to make something that looks good with this one!

!nkubus
my favorite changes wouild be teh cleaner interface and dynamic Docks. so you can customize your gimp the way you like it. seems to take less memory to when playing with big images. Nice Job

!nkubus
Mostly some tools like the extract tool who kick very well. layer blending options like overlay and bevel (you have to do it manually in gimp). layer grouping (groups layers in on virtual folder) shapes support. hope one day gimp will have support for all thoses little but usefull things. tyme
layer blending options like overlay and bevel (you have to do it manually in gimp). no you don't...when you have a layer you want an effect on, just go into the layer viewer, choose the layer you want, and select from the "Mode" drop down at the top... or do you consider that doing it manually? (i've never worked w/photoshop, can't compare..)
Ghil Vertefeuille
photoshop: doublie-click on the layer to bring the effect menu, the thing I use most of the time (bevel, stroke, shadow, glow, apply textures and so on)

I mostly like the gimp because of the hebrew support.. easyness of use ;) and some fonctions that are better.... GIMP is just as easy to use as PS. The way ive found it works is If you have used PS a reasonable amount, you find GIMP unbearable most of the time or just cant use it And vice versa. I just can't use PS, i just cant, no matter how hard i try, i go back to GIMP straight away. I I have been using it through the betas and pre's and its been great
Ghil Vertefeuille
I've been using Photoshop for like two years...I can use Gimp, but I have a hard time learning...it's just not as easy as PS, even if some things are easier (And by thw way, I still have to figure out how does the writing tool works exactly, and how can I make some attribute to it right from the start...)
