Installing Java plugin for firefox 0.8

This however will not work for the firefox .8 (and some other versions, i think .7 as well) because the plugin was compiled with a different compiler.

 

 

I noticed hwoever that there are two ns610 plugin directories

 

ns610

and ns610-gcc32

 

to fix this you just change the symbolic link to point to the plugin for the gcc32 directory and it should work. like this if you have the sdk

 

[root@pipplo plugins]# ln -s /usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_04/jre/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc32/libjavaplugin_oji.so libjavaplugin_oij.so
