(re)Connecting dialup account

Recommended Posts

Hello: I just installed Mandrake yesterday (laptop) and was able to connect directly after configuring the pcmcia modem. But today I can't find where to reconnect. Can someone get me back to the command, menu item, procedure to connect?

Also, I'd like to establish a second dialup account -- different isp -- and would like to know how to choose which connection to enable when I want to connect to either one or the other.

Thanks!

In your menu, under network, you'll find kppp. Or from a terminal, type kppp, but I beleive for some people, kppp doesn't install with MDK 9.2, so you may need to install kdenetowrk-kppp from your software manager. For configuring your 2nd internet connection, you can do this from MDK control center > Network and Internet, then click on configuring internet. Then create a new profile and you can put in your other isp info.
