Sherpa Posted February 20, 2006 Report Share Posted February 20, 2006 Well i dont know if it said it on the box but, from the HP website i just got my HP office jet 7210 networked printer working as a networked printer and scanner using an hp-toolbox program.... I can scan items to xsane from my printer which "has" to be on the otherside of the house.... But it works great... i dont even think that it is possible to scan over the network in windows.... AussieJohn Posted February 21, 2006 Report Share Posted February 21, 2006 I think the whole point about manufacturers stating "Linux Compatable" on the box is that these manufacturers are stating they are aware of Linux and its users, and regard them (Linux users) as very important enough to be acknowledged, even if there is nothng about their product that would not be incompatable with LINUX.
