Andrewski
The only ones I have been able to find were either "removed for review" or referring to older kernels (e.g. 2.4). Anyone know of a good HOWTO for compiling the 2.6 kernel? (my first time doing such a thing)

liquidzoo
I believe Tuxiscool actually wrote one of these for our FAQ forum, but for some reason never posted it.
BobGuy©
Compiling a Custom Linux Kernel http://www.bitbenderforums.com/vb22/showth...&threadid=58650 I would download the mandrake kernel-source myself and build that for a mandrake system. Mandrake tweaks their kernels some, while you get the original linus kernel from kernel.org ie, they don't always work as expected in mandrake. Have fun, it's a well documented artical with lots of pictures. :D
Tuxiscool
Sorry that i can't post that FAQ, i do have one, but it has copyright issues. If anyone wants it , i could distribute it individually if you PM me. But there is also a very good resource here: http://kerneltrap.org/node/view/
