TVH
Hi, I'm looking for a cost-efficient solution to get SATA RAID working in Mandrake, anyone know is there currently ANY controllers that are supported? All I know is that my VIA 8237 integrated controller does not have driver support for RAID in Linux (other than RH 7.2!! :o ). I have Mandrake 9.2 with Kernel 2.6.0. Many thanks! sud_crow
I installed MDK 9.2 in the drive and everything seems (almost) to be working OK. There where a couple of things though that i didnt undertood... The KDE menu was pretty empty, actuallly it had almost nothing, also the apps i selected werent all installed, for example games, only a couple were installed, and the desk didnt had all the usual post install icons and stuff... Any way, as the install runned pretty smooth i might do a reinstall to check everything. Finally, MDK 9.2 seems to support this Serial ATA controller, and this was without any extra stuff, just booted with the 1st cd of the set.
