Image Ready-like software for Linux

Hi,

Does anybody know if there's a software (or a Gimp plugin) that would be sort of like Image Ready (which comes with Photoshop) ? I'm using the Gimp and I really love it (it's really surprising me how powerful it can be!!) but the only thing that's missing is a slice editing tool like Image Ready. You know, I wanna be able to, not only slice everything up, but also be able to edit each and every part singularly ( if it's going to be a .gif, a .jpg etc.. and edit the number of colors needed for that specific .gif and if my .jpg's gonna be at 40% or 50%....).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
