prost
egrep 1600x900 /var/log/Xorg.0.log shows nothing. The log lists only the standard resolutions like 1024x768, 800x600, 640x480. I can't boot into gui with openchrome, even if I set 1024x768. I can't even set 24 bit colour with vesa, even though in the past I could with my 14 inch monitor. prost
http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-485646.html talks about installing openchrome. It was saying that some chipsets won't work with 3d, so add these to xorg Section "Module" Disable "glx" Disable "xtrap" Disable "record" Disable "GLcore" Disable "dri" but it still didn't work. I attach the openchrome manual, which is in troff format. openchrome.f.tar.gz Edited October 9, 2010 by prost
prost
I downloaded the unichrome driver at http://unichrome.sourceforge.net/ which works for my chrome 9 chipset. I installed it, but the xorg file wasn't changed & I can't find it in the graphic card list in the Mandriva Control Center. What do I do?
