nasa01
Hi, I recently updated to 2010.1 and an having a couple of issues. For this issue, right mouse clicks don't bring up the menu as it had with 2010. Additionally, Virtualbox doesn't see right-clicks either (WinXP). However, I can paste text with the right button (something that used my middle button before). The mouse is a Logitech MX Laser. It has *20* buttons. Could anyone help me fix this (in the most approved manner). I would like to keep my buttons all working (scroll in firefox for example). Here's what is in the X Log (related to the mouse): (II) config/hal: Adding input device Logitech USB RECEIVER (**) Logitech USB RECEIVER: always reports core events (**) Logitech USB RECEIVER: Device: "/dev/input/event1" (II) Logitech USB RECEIVER: Found 20 mouse buttons (II) Logitech USB RECEIVER: Found scroll wheel(s) (II) Logitech USB RECEIVER: Found relative axes (II) Logitech USB RECEIVER: Found x and y relative axes (II) Logitech USB RECEIVER: Configuring as mouse (**) Logitech USB RECEIVER: YAxisMapping: buttons 4 and 5 (**) Logitech USB RECEIVER: EmulateWheelButton: 4, EmulateWheelInertia: 10, EmulateWheelTimeout: 200 (II) XINPUT: Adding extended input device "Logitech USB RECEIVER" (type: MOUSE) (**) Logitech USB RECEIVER: (accel) keeping acceleration scheme 1 (**) Logitech USB RECEIVER: (accel) acceleration profile 0 (II) Logitech USB RECEIVER: initialized for relative axes. Here's what Hal shows for my logitech device (Note: I only have the mouse) 72: udi = '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_46d_c50e_noserial_if0_logicaldev_input' linux.hotplug_type = 2 (0x2) (int) linux.subsystem = 'input' (string) info.category = 'input' (string) info.capabilities = { 'input', 'input.mouse' } (string list) input.device = '/dev/input/event1' (string) input.originating_device = '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_46d_c50e_noserial_if0' (string) input.product = 'Logitech USB RECEIVER' (string) linux.device_file = '/dev/input/event1' (string) info.subsystem = 'input' (string) info.product = 'Logitech USB RECEIVER' (string) info.udi = '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_46d_c50e_noserial_if0_logicaldev_input' (string) linux.sysfs_path = '/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:13.1/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0/input/input1/event1' (string) info.parent = '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_46d_c50e_noserial_if0' (string) input.x11_driver = 'evdev' (string) 123: udi = '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_46d_c50e_noserial_if0' usb.interface.class = 3 (0x3) (int) usb.interface.subclass = 1 (0x1) (int) usb.interface.protocol = 2 (0x2) (int) linux.hotplug_type = 2 (0x2) (int) linux.subsystem = 'usb' (string) info.linux.driver = 'usbhid' (string) info.subsystem = 'usb' (string) info.product = 'USB HID Interface' (string) info.udi = '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_46d_c50e_noserial_if0' (string) usb.num_ports = 0 (0x0) (int) usb.device_revision_bcd = 9488 (0x2510) (int) usb.speed = 1.5 (double) usb.version = 1.1 (double) usb.is_self_powered = false (bool) usb.can_wake_up = true (bool) usb.linux.device_number = 2 (0x2) (int) usb.bus_number = 3 (0x3) (int) usb.linux.sysfs_path = '/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:13.1/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0' (string) usb.configuration_value = 1 (0x1) (int) usb.num_configurations = 1 (0x1) (int) linux.sysfs_path = '/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:13.1/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0' (string) info.parent = '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_46d_c50e_noserial' (string) usb.device_protocol = 0 (0x0) (int) usb.device_class = 0 (0x0) (int) usb.device_subclass = 0 (0x0) (int) usb.vendor_id = 1133 (0x46d) (int) usb.product = 'USB HID Interface' (string) usb.num_interfaces = 1 (0x1) (int) usb.vendor = 'Logitech, Inc.' Kieth
I know this is going to sound dumb, but have you tried to set up the mouse settings again in MCC? Kieth
