camorri
I am trying to get Freeguide version 0.11 to work on Mandriva running uname -aLinux duelie 2.6.31.13-desktop-1mnb #1 SMP Tue Apr 27 20:37:44 EDT 2010 x86_64 AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5200+ GNU/Linux The program launches. I have checked the Java version, I have java version "1.6.0_18" installed. I ran the First time wizard. At the end it tries to download the TV listings. It fails with a PATH error. The exact testx is : Unable to find XMLTV tools in your path. Please ensure XMLTV tools are installed. They are, I installed them though urpmi. ll /usr/share/xmltv/total 24 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 22560 2009-03-19 07:08 xmltv.dtd The current value for $PATH - echo $PATH /usr/bin:/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin/:/usr/games:/usr/lib/qt4/bin:/home/cliff/bin:/sbin I did some searching around, I am uncertain how to modify the value of $PATH. I did add a symlink to /usr/shave/xmltv but that did not fix it. It has been a long time since I had a PATH problem. Can someone guide me to a howto that works? The ones I found confused me more than helped.
{BBI}Nexus{BBI}
Did you also install the grabber for your country? Â From commandline: urpmi xmltv-grabbers-<insert your country here> For example, I live in the uk, for me I type: urpmi xmltv-grabbers-uk. You might also want to install the xmltv-gui a graphical frontend to xmltv.
camorri
I did, this is the grabber package. media/contrib/release/xmltv-grabbers-na-0.5.55-1mdv2009.1.noarch.rpm I'm in Canada, there is no Canadian package, so the only option is the .na package. This generates the above errors every time.
{BBI}Nexus{BBI}
The problem seems to be with the free na grabber. Â When I select Canada (free alternative - na_dtv) I get the same error as you do. Â Selecting Canada (shedulesdirect.org - costs money) it works up to a point where I am asked for a username. Upon further investigation it seems the free grabber for Canada is currently broken. See here: http://www.xmltv.se/validator/nightly/ BTW: The latest version of Freeguide from the repositories is 0.10.12 Edited June 27, 2010 by {BBI}Nexus{BBI}
camorri
Thank-you for the help. I guess I have to wait for a fix to the grabber. Hmmmm.
