mdg
What do I need to do to view .rm video in mplayer? I've installed win32 codecs, realplayer codecs and realplayer win32 codecs. I've copied them all to /usr/local/lib/codecs/ as per instructions on the mplayer site I'm using version 0.91-3.3.1 of mplayer
xoox
AFAIK you have to compile MPlayer with the desired codecs yourself. Just copying the codecs in a folder won't do it if your version of MPlayer has not been compiled to use these codecs. But you can go here: http://plf.zarb.org/ and download MPlayer PRMs from PLF. They usually come with all necessary codecs. At least Real Audio works fine for me (I didn't try Real Video). Just add PLF to urpmi. Then you can download and install all necessary files and codecs very easy. If you use KDE, you also might be interested in kmplayer, a KDE-Frontend for MPlayer. Good luck!
