How can I get my subwoofer and side speakers working in Mandriva 2010.0? In Ubuntu, I had to edit this file:

/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base

and add this line to it:

options snd-hda-intel model=lenovo-sky

I didn't see a file named alsa-base in Mandriva 2010.0, so I added it to the end of the /etc/modprobe.conf file and rebooted ... but then my laptop went into an endless cycle of rebooting itself. I had to boot off another CD, mount the drive, and modify the modprobe.conf file back to its original state.

So, what's the proper way to do this in Mandriva 2010.0? I want to be able to use all my speakers on my laptop. Thank you! :)

/Kevin
