Hello, I would like to test the 3D desktop of mandriva 2008, but when i go to the menu, i am not able to choose the 3d option it said my system does not support 3d effects? any reasons? my computer a p4 3ghz graphical card geforce fx5500 128 mb rdram of 1 gb dual. thank 4 any answer.

Hello, Just bought few days ago the wireless 11g pcmcia cardbus MSI CB54G2 which works perfectly with mandriva 2006. I had really nothing to do. So for me i recommand that card which work very nicely and recognised by mandiva chipset ralink 2500

i have just done it through network took me ages!! but now when mdk starts up compare to 2005, 2006 is very fast!!! that's so great to use such os.

unpack all in /usr/share with (su-) deleted unwanted in the RPMs dir then start the command rpm -Uvih *rpm and also on the desktop dir then do a updatedb

My Question what best config do you recommand? Do i have to leave DocumentRoot /var/www/html is that location or on /home/... Thank you

deleted the thunderbird directory in home then install it again, and it works great now

Hello, The first i used linux was 4 years ago, i was so disapointed about linux, and though i will never ever use it again. And, today i have changed my mind and decided to give a second chance to linux and i can tell to everyone even if i have got a lot of trouble to install all my applications and my USB modem, i am so happy about the great change of linux and it's environment, more user friendly, and i really like it, i love using command, and i just hate to use ms windows which s*** every seconds. that's mean each time u are mounting and unmouting the cdriom i have it on my mdk. well when starting mdk, supermount is not supported on my mdk, maybe because i have compiled the kernel 2.6.6 vanilla on my mdk dunno.

what i am asking, is if i insert a cdrom on any cdrom drive, i want to view the contents without doing mount command etc.

i will be glad to give a hand in french :-)
