  1. Do not install -devel packages from directory with KDE 3.3 if you don't need them Or do something like 'urpmi libkcscipt-devel', 'urpmi libjack-devel'
  2. maybe incorrect config? Building from srpm also fails?
  3. There was a package from texstar, for Mandrake 9.1 as I remember, with SuSE kwin decoration. Newer version I didn't find http://rpmseek.com/rpm/kdemoreartwork-SuSE...0:773914:53:0:0 http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=4458
  4. rpm -e --nodeps gcc-cpp and install the correct version
  5. nautilus --browser in this mode you can do it easily http://www.bytebot.net/geekdocs/spatial-nautilus.html
  6. Update your xmms. Take packages from 10.1 Community or for example from here: http://rpms.mandrakeclub.com/rpms/Mandrake...i586/Sound.html http://mandrake.linuxpia.com/download.php Another variant to try: open menu editor and change Multimedia > Sound > XMMS launch entry from 'soundwrapper xmms' to simply 'xmms'
  7. Use kfloppy (kdeutils-kfloppy package)

Try to disable harddrake chkconfig --del harddrake or go to MCC > System > Services
  9. Do the following: Open terminal, became root using su and type wget ftp://ftp.chg.ru/.1/Linux/Mandrakelinux/d...0-2mdk.i586.rpm rpm -ivh libxorg-x11-devel-6.7.0-2mdk.i586.rpm you will see if any dependencies are needed
  10. ln -s /mnt/windows $HOME/Desktop/windows
  11. maybe also try this tip? http://fedorafaq.org/#mozillaipv6
  12. Unfortunately, libxorg-x11-devel-6.7.0-2mdk.i586, gcc-c++ and some other packages (for example needed for building rpms) are missing on Community CD's, so you should download all of them from any Mandrake mirror. ftp://ftp.chg.ru/.1/Linux/Mandrakelinux/d...586/media/main/ http://ftp.surfnet.nl/ftp/pub/os/Linux/dis...586/media/main/ be aware and check that package versions are the same with installed in your system
