Apricot? The first thing that came into my mind was the Open Source project that was the first name before they changed it to "Yo! Fankie!".
Aye, but it does exist in Mandriva 2009.0 also, I just checked it :)
Used to look different in Ubuntu though compared to other distros but seems it's common across all now. Either that, or I was looking at completely different versions of Gnome. :unsure:
Maybe it was USP (Ubuntu System Panel) you saw? - http://code.google.com/p/ubuntu-system-panel/
... and since the screenshot comes from AI, I presume it was taken on an Ubuntu box :D ? What theme do you you use?
Custom made, well buld on something which I have changed completly.
scarecrow would probably disagree with it being pretty as he said it's ugly. But you can't change your appearance in KDE as much as you can in Gnome. Gnome looks way different when you change icons, metacity and so on. Whereas KDE, just looks the same no matter what you change (if you ignored the colour changes and icons).
But, desktop vs desktop is always a thread that gets troll post and who thinks their desktop is better than yours. Personal preference at the end of the day. I like Gnome, others like Gnome or KDE, or XFCE or whatever. Use what you like and feel happy with.
I disagree with a lot of scarecrows comments though. Well, all of them.
Gnome Control Center, if people want that;
Got it yesterday as an update through PackageKit (so nice of Adobe to set up a yum repo ;) ).
Also one for Ubuntu.
Though the rumour says that Flash 11 will be 64-bit compatible.
To install Flash 10 for 64-bit Ubuntu manually;
wget http://queleimporta.com/downloads/flash10_en.sh && sudo chmod +x flash10_en.sh && sudo sh ./flash10_en.sh

Nice wallpaper. Is that an actual city, and if so which one? Is that wallpaper available somewhere?
HDR image of New York's 9th Avenue. :)
Real Picture, works best with HD widescreen "42 to 50-inch. Really Sharp Wallpaper.
Already happening in Denmark with fibre, I was wondering myself if I should change from my cable to fibre, it's an amazing technology.
Arctic I suspect that we'll see a review :)
Though, I'm not a KDE user (Gnome user here), I have tried messing around with KDE. Still some of KDEs major apps still needs to be ported (or re-written) from qt3 to qt4. Still lacks of themes but I guess people soon will come up with stuff.
I like they have improved the "buttons/options" everywhere in endless gui menus. Much better now (could improved alot more if you ask me).
Plasma looks awesome. Only complain is the pain-in-the-ass menu. Not very friendly or useful IMHO.
Still needs a qt4 native dock.
I've seen that Opera have qt4 version in beta, looks pretty impressive.
Is there a 64-bit CD version? Could only find the DVD version.
Good read :)
I always looked forward reading your reviews, Arctic. Looking forward for the next.

For those Linux gamers that have been waiting almost a year to play Unreal Tournament 3, it looks like that day is finally getting close. Earlier this week Jeff Morris from Epic Games had confirmed on our forums that the UT3 Linux release will include their in-game UnrealEd Editor program.

Here's my idea if Tremulous have a CD/DVD cover:
