  1. In addition, i only could find something about the 64-bit version in Google Cache. It looks like there has been a withdrawal of the project so far. And also information at: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10_64bit.html What makes me feel, that the latest driver is not be found for 64-bit, this time around. I will manage going on with the earlier version at 64, version 10.0.45.2
  2. Me too, but couldn't find the latest version, only 32-bits. Otherwise you could make happy sending a link?
  3. Aha, taken over by Sun, Sundriva!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. According to some countdown-clocks on the net (ie MIB Mandriva International Backports) release within 10 days from now.
  5. Just good experiences on this site as well.
  6. 434 Votes now (including mine), 6%, meoooooooooooooow.
  7. No doubt Microsoft is trying to penetrate Linux territory. They know very well Linux is gaining in big parts of the server-market. And probably they also feel the heat of Linux-breath into embedded systems. My thought is, there are plans being made by MS, to make their own market stronger.

    main unavailable?

Welcome urak, and lots of fun with MDV. Repositories out of order is not that many times an issue. Good to hear your exotic setup works right out of the box. Fine days ahead.
  9. Not so much a solution John, but the first thing that came up to me: a broken video-card yes. Having any Windows around for testing? And ehhhhh, Merry Christmas tot you too John. Greets, Isadora
  10. has not set their status

  11. Used 64-bit since 2009.0, no issues whatsoever.
  12. Have both on one single SATA-disk. First installed Windows7 and afterwards Mandriva 2009.1 No problem at all, until................................ Until i had a package of updates for Windows 7, after rebooting GRUB was gone. That is, GRUB went like a flash through my screen, and the system rebooted, and rebooted, and....... Had to use the Mandriva installation DVD to repair GRUB. Everything just fine now, but didn't try to boot Windows 7 again, for being afraid of new damage to GRUB.
  13. Had this same issue when updating the laptop. But someone attended me using the following command± And that the trick when updating my desktop later on. All went smooth.
  14. http://www.kde.org/announcements/4.3/ Congratulations all on KDE!!!!!!!
  15. Once again, would try installing my video-driver through MCC.
  16. And kdar, for some interesting "shopping" i can very much recommend the following site: http://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/new-cool-list-linux.html
  17. Would advise installing Nvidia-drivers through Mandriva Linux Control Center (MCC).
  18. As far as i can remember, i didn't see those in my 2009.1-updates. But i am in the office now, so i have to check out later. Maybe you are using some KDE-repositories?
  19. No Mandriva at Linux-Tag!!!!!!!! http://forum.mandriva.com/viewtopic.php?t=...&highlight=
  20. Not the first time i bring up this topic into view. But still haven't found a proper solution. When i start Konsole i see in System Activity three processes starting. 1. bash 2. konsole 3. konsole The second konsole-process is a child-process of the first one. Konsole-window is opened with warning: Warning: Could not start program '/bin/bash' with arguments '/bin/bash'. When i kill one of the two konsole-processes (the child-process) in System Activity, i get the prompt and can work in Konsole. Starting a console-session through MCC (drakconsole) is no problem.
  21. Can believe a whole lot of stories, but this never ever has nearly occurred to me. Cannot even imagine how you reached this point of disasterness. Anyway, the best advice in repartitioning is, to make a good backup in advance. And as you most probably will have done, nothing so much is wrong.
  22. Check whether sound is not muted, through KMix for example.
  23. Never managed, after so many months, getting my LBP5000 to work. Yes, maybe a few pages being print, but then another uphold. Since i put in the USB-cable into my new HP Lasercolortjet CP1515n, it was installed, and worked out-of-the-box.
