  1. Try editing xorg.conf manually following this thread: http://us.generation-nt.com/answer/verticalrefresh-lcd-does-exist-help-174793731.html?page=2
  2. I have been a happy Thunderbird user for years. Never tried Kmail.
  3. Well I learned something today B)
  4. Try uninstalling the package draksnapshot.
  5. Looks like I am out of touch! :woops:
  6. Delete the hidden folder .kde4?
  7. Delete your current repositories and using Easy URPMI select "Switch to manual mirror selection (not recommended)". Pick a mirror and try it. Maybe this will help?
  8. Hmmm. I use Mandriva 2010.2 and Amarok plays mp3s without issue. I still think you may have repository issues. With regard to KDE Wallet, this can be disabled: Configure Your Desktop Advanced KDE Wallet deselect Enable the KDE Wallet Subsystem
  9. You have been busy! Just wanted to let you know that you are not alone out here. :D
  10. I have run 2010.2 for some time now and have never had an issue with the package manager. Try changing the mirror?
  11. Thunderbird user here. If possible I will help if any is needed. I have never used kmail so I do not know what kind of changes are in store for you. It has been Thunderbird for me as far back as my first Mandriva install in 2005.
  12. If you boot off of the live CD without trying to install does everything load correctly? Another thought, try burning a new CD. Perhaps the laptop you are attempting to install Mandriva on has a more delicate/fussy CD drive.
  13. My initial suggestion would be to try a Mandriva live CD and see if the hardware responds to that better.
  14. Just my $0.02. You do not need the Powerpack. Download the 32 or 64 bit Free or One versions of 2010.2 and you will be fine, nvidia drivers and all.
  15. Well if you change your mind let me know. I am not looking for an expensive trade item. The MP3 player can't be worth much over $20.
  16. I have a 1GB RCA Pearl that I would consider trading. It uses a single AAA battery. When plugged into (USB) my Mandriva 2010.2 system, I can drag and drop mp3 files into it for playback. The device is probably two years old but has been used only sparingly as my daughter quickly outgrew it. Do you have any computer hardware you could offer in a trade?
  17. Well it appears I reacted prematurely. Power management is working for me!
