Need help... :mellow: I'm using Mandriva 2010.0... I want to connect to server that used oracle as database... I've followed tutorial from: Oracle I've downloaded: oracle-instantclient11.1-basic-11.1.0.7.0-1.i386.rpm oracle-instantclient11.1-devel-11.1.0.7.0-1.i386.rpm oci8-1.4.1.tgz I've installed pecl package, but I CAN'T USE IT.... :blink: when I write pecl install oci8-1.3.5.tgz I found this error message: bash: pecl: command not found Where's my mistake???? :huh: Help, please... Well... I guess I no longer need to spent my time to try installing my nVidia driver with downloaded driver.... There's no different installing nvidia driver from the nvidia website, or from Mandriva's packs.... Case Closed.... Thanks everyone....

Is Mandriva supplied driver is better than driver that I've downloaded from nvida.com??? :huh: If that so, maybe I should close this case... :D I just want to compare which is the best, the Mandriva supplied driver, or from nvidia.com... B) I used nVidia GeForce 5500 FX with legacy driver 173XXX...

I've reinstalled my Mandriva... (at least... ) and i've installed my nVidia driver with these packages: ==> nvidia173-kernel-2.6.29.1-desktop-4mnb-173.14.18-2mdv2009.1.i586.rpm ==> x11-driver-video-nvidia173-173.14.18-2mdv2009.1.i586.rpm ==> dkms-nvidia173-173.14.18-2mdv2009.1.i586.rpm Everything's ok, include the compiz effect.. But still... I keep trying to install my nvidia with the driver that I've downloaded from nvidia.com... Well... I'm stuck... I installed all packages with *-devel-*, then my screen show nothing but blank... I guess I'll reinstall my mandriva and install my nvidia with dkms packages... Thanks 4 the answers guys.....

I've checked on Install & Remove Software tools... These packages has totally installed: kernel-desktop-2.6.29.1-4mnb kernel-desktop-devel-2.6.29.1-4mnb kernel-desktop-latest kernel-headers But still.... I got the same error... Should I reinstall my Mandriva??? Any ideas?? :sad:
