  2. Thanks for the tip. I've built it for 2009.1 noarch here.
  3. If you want to try to transform an old PC into an X terminal and use it on your fast brand new Mandrakelinux system, you could give a try to this. 1.- on the fast system: modify /usr/share/config/kdm in the section [Xdmcp] with Enable=true We'll admit your fast system has an ip: 192.168.0.1 2.- on the old PC (Terminal X) equipped with no drives but CDROM - insert a Knoppix live CD - F2 : knoppix lang=your language 2 (or knoppix26 noscsi lang=fr 2) - ifconfig eth0 192.168.0.10 (or another one) - su knoppix - X -query 192.168.0.1 and kdm appears on the old PC ! My 2c tip. :) Sagittarius If your PC is very old and cannot boot from CD then, if you have a floppy unit, you could use smart boot manager: http://btmgr.sourceforge.net/about.html 3.- To obtain on the old pc the fonts in OOo that are installed on the fast Mandrakelinux machine make a symlink /home/~/.openoffice/usr/fonts -> /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/drakfont/ttf Of course, it is just to have a try. For permanent use: urpmi draktermserv
  4. Maybe you can get it here : http://www.heger.ch/linux/sagittarius/non_..._kde3.2_mdk9.2/
  5. You can also, if you do not want to change your glibc and grab other packages from Cooker but KDE3.2, take a look at here : KDE 3.2 for 9.2 - Sagittarius These are uptodate RPMS for 9.2 builded on a clean 9.2.1 install. But read carefully the installation suggestion. You'll need main, contrib and plf urpmi sources. I've also included some goodies K3b, Kaffeine, digikam 06, KimDaBa, Guarddog, Guidedog, Kbear, Kbudget, Karchiver, Kdenlive, Khttrack, Koffice, superkaramba ... a special patched liquid theme, baghira-win-deco screenshot here If you read french, you can have a look here
  6. 19.03.04 : KDE updated, equal or very near KDE 3.2.1 http://www.heger.ch/linux/sagittarius/non_..._kde3.2_mdk9.2/
  7. http://www.heger.ch/linux/sagittarius/non_..._kde3.2_mdk9.2/ - 16.03.2004 - KDE updated, koffice, superkaramba, krusader, kfilerename, kfilereplace added.
  8. Yuyo Maybe you'd better go for a Mandrake 10.0 Community. It's easy if you're a MandrakeClub member : http://www.mandrakeclub.com Then, if you want to stay on your 9.2, my rpms are fine. They're made for 9.2 not for 10. Of course they're not official. You won't have any support. So, let's say it's more for advanced users. Here's a screenshot : But I advice you (unless you know what you're doing) to not use Cooker and to not mix urpmi sources of different versions: 10.0 and 9.2 :)
  9. Instead of installing directly Cooker rpms, I decided to rebuild the whole KDE 3.2 and few extras: K3b, Kaffeine, Kdenlive, Digikam, Guarddog / Guidedog, Kile etc. Mainly, it's because I wanted to stay on a rock stable 9.2.1 with KDE 3.2 before upgrading to v10.0 So, if you're interested, here are the list of KDE 3.2 RPMS with are completely sync with those for 10 community (but builded for 9.2) : http://www.heger.ch/linux/sagittarius/non_..._kde3.2_mdk9.2/ There is also a definition of this urpmi source, so you can : urpmi.addmedia non_official http://www.heger.ch/linux/sagittarius/non_...l_kde3.2_mdk9.2 with hdlist.cz But, please upgrade from non-X console or another windowsmanager but KDE. i686 : means Pentium II, III, IV , celerons, Duron/Athlon/XP but it's not for old pentium I. :-) Sagittarius
