  1. I saw in multiple screens a terminal that was almost transparent and without borders nor options, just the place where you type...what was that and can I get one? :D
  2. I'm trying to add some URPMI sources. so I do urpmi.removemedia -a to erase the old (Installation CDs) then I do the easy urpmi config, one line at a time. The first time all went well, but each time I wanted to do an urpmi, it gave me an error saying that it was outdated. so I redo a urpmi.remove media -a, then reinstall...i did it like 10 times and each time it gave me that the contrib was outdated, or something like that. I tried many servers, nothing..I'm trying again, but I doubt it will be different than the others...someone can help me?
  3. I wanted to know how can I change the splash screen for the boot....and if possible the Splash of KDE...I tried some things but it didn't work so could you help?

  7. ok thanks I'll get it for testing :P
  8. from what I understood of the google translation (eeck), they will be solwly changing their computers towards open softwares. For the moment they will be testing it with some minors services (internal email, etc...) and they will keep to add services until all is converted. But they hold nothing against Microsoft, in fact they have high esteem of them. It's just a "political choice" :P Good thing ^^
  9. hmmmmcooker version? will it be stable? and another question: Can it just replace the KDE 3.1, instead of installing itself somewhere else?
  10. I thought about checking manually for versions of my softs, but not autoconf :S thanks for the tip! I had to do a fresh install so for now I'll stay with 3.1...unless someone makes a nice rpm that does the trick ust fine :P
  11. ok thanks it will be of great help ^^
  12. I'm trying to install KDE 3.2 and still haven't been able to...can someone post a clear HOWto or a link to an RPM would be really appreciated...and the Readme included has yet to give me the answers :S
  13. If MS doesn't listen to the EEC, probably that MS will not be able to get their product on the european market again, wich would be the death of a big market...and the renewal of alternatives in europe, Like Linux or Mac...
  14. yeah I waited like a 15 minutes before again rebooting :S
  15. so anyone knows a way to make it work?
  16. when I try Ctrl+ Alt+ backspace it just restart KDE :S edit: ok now that's weird. It runs perfectly under Gnome but will not work under KDE. what am I supposed to do? (I want to stay with KDE :S)
  17. I open a terminal, type ET...it loads, then give me a black screen and...that's all. it stays this way. I don't know what to do...could you help me?
