  1. Hi I've tried... Here is my modules.conf : probeall usb-interface usb-uhci ehci-hcd alias sound-slot-1 snd-via82xx above snd-via82xx snd-pcm-oss alias eth0 8139too alias sound-slot-0 snd-via82xx alias net-pf-10 off But it doesn't changed anything...
  2. I had a look in /etc/resolv.conf and there was my router IP and then the primary and secondary ip... I dun't know if it is just or not... What exactly should I write?
  3. Hi, I've just installed Mandrake 10 OE. Everything is all right! But i noticed that surfing is very slow! When i'm downloading something, that goes at high speed but web sites come very slowly! How does it come? I've a PCI network card that runs with 8139too module and i go on the internet trought an ADSL router. And somewhere is Mandrake control center, it says that internet connection is LAN and status is DISCONNECTED but my network is up!!! And in gentoo, surfing is normal... What can i do to speed up surfing? Thanks! [moved from Software by spinynorman]
  4. It's an Asus A7n8X ultra (NFORCE2) + amd 2600 + 512ddr + 120go and 40go I'll try to boot with your options! Do you think that nforce2 causes these problems?
  5. Hi! I'm trying to install mandrake10 on my computer but installation freezes randomly during copying files! I don't know what can I do!! Any help? THX!
  6. I've got exactly the same question... My friend has got a 9600pro and would like to install mdk10.0!
  7. Yes, I know it's recommended to install official driver but it difficult for a noob who can't start X! But you said it is possible with VESA driver? I should try!
  8. Yes, I was wondering if we will have to install ati's drivers to be able to use mandrake10 with an ati card (radeon9600pro for example)? I ask that because my friend can't use mdk because he can't install ati's driver and me, with my nvidia card, I needn't install nvidia's driver... THX!
  9. Ok, thanks! I'll download the cd's and install it!!!
  10. Hoxw to not install lilo? It will ask it to me? Or I must enter a commad at boot time? THX!
  11. Thanks for your answer! So, I should use Mandrake9.2! OK But before that, I've several questions! At this moment, I'm on dual-boot with Windows and another linux distribution. I'm using GRUB to boot these OS. I remember that Mandrake auto-install LILO with its own configuration! So, is it possible prevent the installation of lilo? I would prefer to install mandrake, then reboot my linux distribution to add mandrake in grub config instead of removing grub to install LILO! I'm waiting for your answer! @++
  12. Hi I would like to try the 2.6 kernel. Should I install Mandrake 9.2 and upgrade the kernel or should I install mandrake 10 (cooker)? I don't really want to have a good distribution to work but just try 2.6 kernel. Is mandrake cooker stable enough to boot and run without errors? I'm waiting your opinion! @+
