  1. I am not talking about "contacting" them, just the sheer support from them. I could go on and on but I don't give damn. My opinion Vs Yours....No one wins
  2. Not to be a stick in the mud...but MDE has almost no support and I have yet to see a difference in anything with their packaging as compared to SoS repositories. I guess if you like flash and ricer stuff....there ya go....my .02 cents I know Ze_M will fire back but oh well.

  5. Well, I am actually disgusted to let anyone know I am American at the moment, until we take a different stand on how this country operates I refuse to be proud of it. To say Linux as a desktop is not stable is maybe a matter of your experiences, I have had nothing but good experience with Linux as a desktop and prefer it over ANYTHING. Just me and yes I am hardcore Linux, I have been windows free except from work for 1 year! :) To me that is the largest acomplishment. Once again my opinion. I don't doubt Apple Hardware reliability, they use PowerPC components, does IBM sound familiar? I would take a Thinkpad over a MacBook any day! Carry on now....
  6. actually I am quite bold! I did not notice you were a admin at first. I did not try to insult you, just stating an opinion :) ;) It's usually not a smart idea to insult one of the board administrators within a day of joining a board...just some words of advice. I was simply stating my interests, sorry if you thought I was trying to impress....someone... When I bought my Macbook, I researched prices on similar spec'd systems from the top names (Dell, IBM, etc.) and found the prices to be within $100 of each other. Really $100, that was it? Hmmm, your talking of Laptops, I am not too educated on Mac brand names. I just know I made a $1600 mistake when I purchased mine! "It's usually not a smart idea to insult one of the board administrators within a day of joining a board...just some words of advice. I was simply stating my interests, sorry if you thought I was trying to impress....someone... unsure.gif" Sorry that is how I took it. Cheers!
  7. LOL, well no matter how smart you think you are, notice I said "Think" I have met my share of educated idiots. Not to say you are one, but the whole Masters degree and beyond fails to impress some people. Not to start an argument. Thankfully apple will never hold a large share of the Computer market, no one wants to pay more for the same thing, if you know what I mean? I must agree that it boils down to personal opinion. I have met with a share of people who have tried Mac and Linux and most prefer Linux over Mac, due to cost and the fact that they don't want a tie with yet another American Company. Just my .02 cents.
  8. Not a problem here, although installation was screwy for me, but after that I think 2007 is a great distro. I am still a newbie though and have not experienced wireless stuff and Video cards and Sounds Card problems, cause I use integrated stuff. But I like 2007.
  9. Somehow I don't agree with you. I hate MAC with a passion. How long did it take them to finally hop onto the Intel Bandwagon? A little too late for me. I once bought a mac and now it sits in the corner of my room collecting dust. Just another useless piece of crap. I agree a phone is a phone! I have used Blackberry's but I still carry my laptop with me. In fact when i get my Van for my company I am going to install a laptop tray like the police have in their cars, a verizon Mobile Wireless Internet Card and I will be in business. Apple had made a good comeback, although not too well in the Computer market, only in the "Accessories" market. I think I am the only person on planet earth who does not have a iPOD? But to say that Mac has a better OS than Linux is a low blow and some fighting words in the Open Source arena! :)
