What is your hardware setup? OpenOffice is a big memory hogging app, and when used in conjuction with other huge, memory hogging apps, tends to slow down your system.

Where do I find my drive at? It doesn't seem to show up under harddrake, and I'm totally lost as where to look. It should be auto detected right?

I made them Gnome and KDE look almost the same using the marble theme, although I had to change all the icons by hand... I'll try out bluecurve... it does look nice.

Windows is too much of a hassle. I can load Lycoris on that other partition, and I'll have the best of both worlds, and I don't have to worry about the bootloader, or not recognizing the drives...

Thanks for the insight... I decided not to install it windows after I blew away the boot loader and had to reinstall it :)

Actually, I am trying to find themes that have been made for Mandrake 9.0 specifically. I want one that has all of the icons already named and everything. I like Mosfet's marble icons, but it doesn't replace ALL the icons, like on the kicker, and the home icon and such.

Anybody know a good site that has themes and icon packs for Mandrake 9.0 KDE 3.0?

Alright... thanks a lot. I would have installed windows first, ,but I really hate it, and I was running Lycoris Desktop/LX on the other part. but I wiped it when I installed LM. I just need widows to run my usb cd-writer... LM won't recognize it.

I know you can install Linux alongside a Windows partition and grub will recognize it's there and all that jazz, but can you install windows after you've already installed LM? I have a 20GB hard drive, and 10GB is used for LM. I want to put Win98 on the other 10GB. Anything special I have to do for LILO or Grub to stay as the bootloader? Basically, I don't want to boot into windows automatically.
